A Journey

From Drawing to Sculpture

Inspired by balance and harmony,  Jessica draws and sculpts with dramatic use of fluid and organic playful curves and aims to create a sense of rhythmic movement within her collection. She skillfully manipulates her forms through the ancient art of hammering, while also introducing an abundance of rich surface textures, through the use of pattern and gold.

Visual Inspiration

Jessica Jue’s latest sources of inspiration include organic themes such as floral detail and the romantic curvature of seashells.

With a unique sense of creativity, Jessica Jue gives life to bold and contemporary sculptural pieces combining elegant design and finest craftsmanship.

Fluidity of Line

'Capturing the Essence of Form through the Gesture of Line'

Understanding when a piece is complete is just as important as the process of its creation. Being certain and confident about the final gesture of line has become a defining feature of Jessica's aesthetic.

Texture has always played an important role in Jessica's designs. With the right texture, the form of a piece can be beautifully enhanced.

Jessica explores textural surfaces through the experimentation of different materials and translates her prints and drawings onto her sculptural forms. In the recent years Jessica began to create her own textured hammers that create unique, one of a kind surfaces.

Process and Development

In the lead up to the festival London Craft Week will be offering a glimpse into what to expect this autumn with a Virtual Preview. In partnership with Contemporary British Silversmiths, a short video was made with Jessica speaking about her commissioned piece, her temporary work place from home, a gold fusing demonstration and her design process.
